ENTIRE AGREEMENT

You warrant that all information supplied by you to GO Forth! in connection with this agreement is true.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other oral undertakings, warranties or agreements between the parties relating to the subject matter of this agreement.

GO Forth! reserves the right to add or amend the vehicle specifications and rental charges without prior notice. This Agreement does not affect your statuary rights under civil law and this Agreement shall be governed by the law of Scotland.

In the event of any discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and any other GO Forth! literature, the provisions of these Terms & Conditions apply.

EXTRAS

There are no extra hire charges, we include everything as stated in the Inventory.

HIRE RATES INCLUDE:

Unlimited mileage
UK standard vehicle insurance for two drivers*
UK Standard equipment & breakdown**

All prices quoted in the Agreement are gross prices.

*Subject to satisfying our Insurance Criteria [SEE ‘DRIVERS’]. If an additional premium is required by our Insurer, for example a Driver has more than 1 insurance and/or certain convictions, these will be passed onto the Hirer.

**GO Forth! supply full breakdown cover to cover any mechanical faults to the base chassis of the motorhome. Any breakdown/recovery costs as a result of Hirer error for example, but not limited to, flat battery, locked keys in motorhome, low/wrong additive or fuel, tyre puncture, will be the responsibility of the Customer.

INSURANCE

The vehicle insurance is arranged by Markerstudy and is on the provision that all personal information supplied by You is correct.

The insurance only covers damage to the exterior of the motorhome in the event of any accident with a 3rd party or property and excludes Overhead Damage, which is deemed as wilful negligence. Interior furniture and fittings, as well as any additional items as outlined within the Inventory, are not covered for any loss or damage. These items will be charged at a cost of replacement and any related costs associated with the replacement. These costs may be more than the Security Deposit paid and must be paid in full.

The vehicle is insured for the agreed period of hire only. If you return the vehicle late, you will not be insured and you may be committing a traffic offence under the Road Traffic Act. You must notify GO Forth! by telephone in advance if you are going to be late returning the Vehicle. Late return fees apply (SEE ‘MOTORHOME COLLECTION & RETURN’).

You are not covered for damage to your own personal property; we strongly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance to cover your own possessions.

Only persons named on the Rental Agreement are insured to drive the vehicle.

No insurance cover is offered for Overhead Damage, any internal damages, or damages caused by gross negligence, therefore the Hirer accepts fully liability for these which is in addition to the standard vehicle excess, should that apply.

Damage resulting from the use of cooking/heating appliances, a 25% excess of the total claim will apply, subject to a minimum excess of £1000.

Insurance exclusions, for which You will be totally liable for all costs, and indemnify GO Forth!, include;

In the event of the vehicle insurance being invalidated because of a breach of this provision, You will be responsible for payment in full, and indemnifying GO Forth!, of all losses, fines, expenses, costs and damages either party suffer or incur as a result.

The Vehicle is insured for theft but does not include any personal insurance for the Hirer(s) or passengers, including death or bodily injury, or cover any personal possessions. The hire rate quoted includes a standard excess of £1000.00 per accident, reported incident or Vehicle theft. In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, regardless of fault, the Hirer will be liable for the first £1000.00 per claim. In the event of the theft of the Vehicle, the Hirer will be liable for the full cost of the Vehicle. Once a theft has been reported to both GO Forth! and the police, a claim will be lodged with the Insurer and the keys must be returned to GO Forth!. Should the Insurer accept the claim and agrees to reimburse GO Forth! for the cost of the Vehicle, the liability to the Hirer will reduce to the first £100.00 of the claim, which is our excess cost. If the keys are NOT returned to GO Forth!, the Insurer will not accept the claim and liability for the full cost of the Vehicle will remain with the Hirer.

MAINTENANCE

The Hirer shall take all reasonable steps to properly maintain the Vehicle, including checking oil, coolant and AdBlue levels, tyre pressures and batteries. Instructions will be given how to do this as part of the Vehicle Induction.

The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of Diesel, AdBlue (where required), Coolant and Windscreen fluid. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to check and replenish these levels throughout the hire period. GO Forth! will not be held responsible should you run out of any of these during your hire. The Hirer will be liable for any costs associated with allowing the engine oil, coolants or AdBlue to run empty and cause damage to the vehicle’s engine. Any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel will also be that of the Hirers.

All GO Forth! Motorhomes run on DIESEL.

The Hirer acknowledges that GO Forth! will reimburse them for expenditure up to £50.00 reasonably incurred in rectifying any mechanical failure to the drive train and engine of the Vehicle (not including the water system, refrigerator, heating, audio and TV/DVD equipment), provided the Hirer produces relevant receipts and has received the prior consent of GO Forth! for work to be undertaken.

GO Forth! will make every effort to have your motorhome ready for the collection time you have selected, however GO Forth! cannot guarantee that your vehicle will be ready for this time. Should this be the case, no refunds will be due to you, there will be no extension of your hire, and the motorhome will still be required to be returned in accordance with the details set out below. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Motorhome is not available, for example damage by the previous hire, our liability is limited to the refunds of all monies paid by you.

You will acknowledge receiving the Vehicle in a clean condition and in sound working order, in accordance with the Rental Agreement checklist, and with full diesel and AdBlue tanks (where required). An additional charge of £100 per hour will be payable for all Late Returns. Any additional premiums required by our insurer to extend the Hirer’s insurance will be payable by the Hirer and deducted from the Security Deposit and/or pursued for.

LOST PROPERTY

It is the Hirers responsibility to make sure that all personal possessions & rubbish are removed from the vehicle. The vehicle may be going back out again on hire that same day. GO Forth! will contact the Hirer if items are found/handed in, but cannot be held liable for total loss of any item or possession not returned. We will store any found item 2 weeks before disposal or passing on to charity.

MOTORHOME SYSTEMS

GO Forth! will carry out a full Vehicle Condition Inspection (VCI) on the motorhome before the commencement of hire. The VCI involves testing every system on board the motorhome to ensure they are operating correctly. In conjunction with this, the Hirer will be given a full Vehicle Induction and be shown how all systems work. Should an onboard system fail during your hire, GO Forth! will make every effort to remedy the fault whilst you are away, but in some circumstances this may not be possible. GO Forth! cannot be held responsible and will not refund any monies should a loss of service be encountered, nor have any obligation to provide a replacement vehicle. In the case of winter hire, GO Forth! will not be held responsible in the event of any damage or inconveniences caused by freezing conditions. This is the responsibility of the Hirer.
